<p>The meeting will start on<strong> Monday, February 22, 2010 </strong>with two Practical Clinics, a new addition this year, followed by our Opening Reception.&nbsp; On Tuesday there will be a full day of Scientific Symposia and abstract presentations.&nbsp; The Scientific Symposia include:&nbsp; Debate the Experts; Oral Abstracts; The Leaders; Award Abstracts and Large and Giant Aneurysms and Management of Dural Fistulae.&nbsp; The meeting will again have 5 exciting luncheon seminars for you to choose from.&nbsp; Those topics include:&nbsp; Management of Incompletely Treated or Recurrent Aneurysms; Multi Modality Management of Grade 4 or 5 AVMs; State of Flow Diversion in Cerebrovascular Lesions; Update on Vascular Trials and Endarterectomy versus Stent Extra Cranial Carotid Disease.</p>

<p>In 1960, Dr. Luessenhop, with fellow Georgetown neurosurgeon William T. Spence, pioneered a procedure in which he was able to slow the dangerous flow of blood from an enlarged artery by using a handmade plastic pellet. The lifesaving procedure, a new approach to the treatment of aneurysms and certain brain abnormalities, is now considered the beginning of intravascular surgery</p>
