Welcome to the Joint Cerebrovascular Section

The purpose of the Joint Cerebrovascular Section (CV Section) of the AANS and CNS is to advance education, research and patient care in the area of vascular diseases of the brain.  Through our activities and educational programs, we strive to promote awareness among all neurosurgeons, of opportunities for clinical practice and research in the area of cerebrovascular surgery.

The CV Section welcomes all those interested in the treatment and cure of cerebrovascular disease. If you are a patient, physician, or researcher who has been touched by cerebrovascular disease, we hope you will find cvsection.org a useful resource to you.

Our goal is to bring you information on our education programs, help you identify the resources you need to expand safe and effective treatments for brain aneurysms, arteriovenous malformations, carotid artery, brain hemorrhage and other disabling conditions of the blood vessels of the brain.
