Dear Colleagues and Cerebrovascular Section members:
The field of Cerebrovascular Surgery has undergone rapid evolution over the past several years. The CV Section in turn has adapted to these changes.
I am writing to you to announce that the Annual Meeting of the CV Section has been resurrected and restructured to occur in two parts, and to invite you to attend this exciting educational event in New Orleans on February 19, 2008. The meeting will take place in the Westin New Orleans Canal Place Hotel and will immediately precede a joint meeting with the International Stroke Conference of the American Heart Association.
Our Section’s meeting will consist of in-depth coverage of surgical and endovascular approaches to the challenging clinical problems we face in a rapidly evolving field. Topics include novel technologies in cerebrovascular therapeutics, rescue strategies for complex vascular problems, clinical trials in unruptured arteriovenous malformations and treatment of intracranial stenosis, a consultants’ corner with internationally recognized experts, luncheon seminars and clinically oriented symposia. Please find the preliminary scientific program in the below.
Further details including how to register will be available in the coming week at www.neurosurgery.org/cv .
I look forward to seeing you in New Orleans at the CV Section meeting!
Dr. Josh Bederson
